Delicious lentil soup using, mung daal, red lentils or mung beans. Simple and easy directions included.
Medium Heat – for mild, use half the package contents.
- In a pot add 2 tablespoons OIL, 1½ cups RED LENTILS*, 1½ teaspoons SALT and contents of DAAL CURRY MIX. Stir.
- Add 8 cups of WATER and stir. Cover and cook on medium heat for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Cook for a further 5 to 10 minutes on low heat, stirring occasionally.
*Substitute Red Lentils with any lentils or beans e.g. Mung Daal, Chana Daal or Mung Beans
Serve with roti, naan bread or over a bed of basmati rice.
Ingredients: turmeric powder, cumin, crushed garlic, red chillie powder, coriander, black pepper, cinnamon bark, star anise, cloves, white pepper and cardamom.
