Makes a delicious chick pea curry with green peppers, onions and tomatoes. Recipe included.
Medium Heat – for mild, use half the package contents.
- Sauté 1 chopped ONION in 2 tablespoons OIL in a pan on medium heat.
- Add 2 cups cooked CHICK PEAS, 1 chopped GREEN PEPPER, contents of CHANA MASALA CURRY MIX, 1½ teaspoons SALT, 1½ cups TOMATO SAUCE and 1 cup WATER. Stir.
- Cover and cook for 20 to 25 minutes. Stir occasionally.
- Add 3 teaspoons BROWN SUGAR and cook for 5 to 10 minutes. Stir.
Garnish with chopped cilantro. Serve over a bed of basmati rice.
Ingredients: crushed garlic, cumin, turmeric powder, coriander, red chillie powder and black pepper.
